We connect systems that have never talked to each other

Shop, ERP, PIM, CRM or booking system working side by side instead of together? We build interfaces that move data automatically to where it is needed.

What this is about

Most companies do not have too little software, they have too many systems that know nothing about each other. Data is exported, updated by hand and eventually looks different in three places.

Use the interfaces that already exist

Many systems already come with an API that was simply never connected. We check what is there before we build anything new.

Custom middleware where needed

When two systems cannot talk to each other directly, we put a service in between that translates, checks and logs the data. Errors become visible instead of disappearing quietly into an export.

Older systems too

An inventory management system without a modern API, a booking system with file exports, a CRM from another era: almost anything can be connected, as long as the path of the data is cleanly defined.

When systems do not talk, someone closes the gap by hand.

Situations that typically bring clients to us

  • Product data is exported from the PIM and transferred into the shop by hand.

  • The ERP has grown over the years and offers no modern interface.

  • Orders, invoices or customer data are retyped between systems.

  • Two systems have different data structures and do not fit together.

  • An external tool such as a booking system needs to be integrated into the website.

  • An existing interface breaks regularly without anyone noticing in time.

  • None of this sounds like you?

What we actually do

Connecting shop, ERP, PIM and CRM

We connect the systems you already use and define which system owns which data.

Custom API development

If there is no suitable interface, we build one. Including authentication, error handling and documentation.

Middleware and data transformation

For PUKY we converted Akeneo exports automatically into a format Shopify can use; for RHEWUM we made invoice data from Microsoft Navision usable via Lobster.

Automated workflows

Connected systems turn into workflows: triggering, checking, passing on and sending data without anyone having to remember it.

Connecting external services

Booking systems, payment providers, shipping, email delivery or surveys are connected where they are needed in the process.

Operation and monitoring

Interfaces do not run by themselves. We take care of logging and alerts when something gets stuck.

How we work

  • 01

    Take stock

Which systems are in use, how does data flow today and where does manual work arise?

  • 02

    Define the data model

We clarify which system takes the lead, which fields belong together and what happens in the event of conflicts.

  • 03

    Build

Developing the interface, testing it with real data and putting it live step by step, without disrupting day-to-day operations.

  • 04

    Make it safe

Monitoring, error handling and retry logic, so a failure does not go unnoticed.

In the end data flows without anyone moving it by hand. Which of your systems belong together is something we work out in conversation.

Frequently asked questions

When shop, ERP and PIM know nothing about each other, someone closes the gap by hand. That is exactly what we want to avoid.

When does a company need an API connection?

As soon as the same data is maintained in several systems, or someone regularly closes the gap by hand: transferring product data from the PIM into the shop, retyping orders into the ERP, reconciling customer data between CRM and newsletter. That does not only cost time, it mainly creates discrepancies, because the same record looks different in three places. An interface ends the duplicate work and makes it clear which system takes the lead.

Which systems do you connect?

Typically shop, ERP or inventory management, PIM, CRM, booking and payment systems, shipping providers as well as email and analytics tools. Many of them already come with an API that was simply never used, which is why we check what is there first. For PUKY we converted Akeneo exports automatically into a format Shopify can use; for RHEWUM we made invoice data from Microsoft Navision usable via Lobster.

How does an interface stay maintainable?

Through three things: a documented mapping of which fields belong where, proper error handling with logging, and tests with real records rather than only the ideal case. When two systems cannot talk to each other directly, we put a service in between that translates, checks and logs the data. If something gets stuck, it is reported instead of disappearing quietly into an export.

Is this possible without replacing the legacy system?

In most cases, yes. An inventory management system without a modern API, a booking system with file exports or an older CRM can be connected as well, as long as the path of the data is clearly defined. Often an interface takes so much load off the legacy system that a replacement is not needed for the time being – and when it does come, the clean separation makes it considerably easier.

Two systems that do not talk to each other?

Tell us which systems are in use. We will estimate how much work a connection really takes.
