Shopify shops that fit your product data and your processes

We build Shopify shops for brands and manufacturers that need more than a standard theme: a front end in their own design, automated product data and a setup that can be rolled out to further countries.

What this is about

A Shopify shop is set up quickly. It becomes demanding where the shop has to dock onto your reality: product data from a PIM, prices and stock levels from the ERP, technical attributes, variants, several languages and several markets.

A front end instead of a standard theme

We adapt the theme to your corporate design and build individual areas from scratch when the standard is not enough. The shop no longer looks like a thousand others, while remaining a maintainable Shopify shop at its core.

Product data without manual work

Prices, stock levels, variants and technical attributes come from the PIM and the ERP instead of a spreadsheet. For PUKY we built a dedicated application that maps Akeneo exports to the Shopify fields automatically.

One setup for several markets

We plan for languages, currencies and national subsidiaries from the start. A new market is then a configuration and not a completely new project.

Shopify provides the framework. We build the shop that sells.

Situations that typically bring clients to us

  • The shop is meant to launch in further countries, but every rollout takes months.

  • Product data is maintained twice: once in the PIM, once in the shop.

  • The theme you bought cannot be adapted the way the brand needs it.

  • Variants, technical attributes or data sheets cannot be mapped cleanly.

  • The shop needs to dock onto an existing system, such as an ERP, inventory management or a booking system.

  • An existing shop on another system is to move to Shopify.

  • None of this sounds like you?

What we actually do

Shop setup and theme development

We set up Shopify, adapt a theme to your corporate design and build individual areas from scratch where the standard reaches its limits.

Product data from PIM and ERP

We automate the path the product data takes into the shop. For PUKY we built a dedicated application that maps Akeneo exports to the Shopify fields automatically.

Interfaces to third-party systems

Booking systems, inventory management, CRM or shipping providers are connected through existing apps or through interfaces of our own.

International rollouts

Several countries, several languages, one setup. We build the shop so new national subsidiaries can go live in a few steps.

Moving to Shopify

Migration from an existing shop system including product data, redirects and preserving the visibility you have.

Support after launch

We remain your contact for adjustments, new features and optimisation during live operation.

How we work

  • 01

    Understand

We look at the product range, the data sources and the ordering processes and clarify what the shop really has to do.

  • 02

    Concept work

Theme strategy, data flow and interfaces are settled before the first line of code is written.

  • 03

    Build

Design, theme development, the import route and the connections are developed in parallel and tested together.

  • 04

    Launch and expand

After going live we keep optimising. This is often the point where the next country rollout begins.

From the data situation to launch, Shopify stays a shop that fits the way you work. Tell us briefly what you have in mind.

Frequently asked questions

Before a Shopify shop goes live, we usually clarify the same points: does the system fit, how does the product data get in, and what happens after the launch.

When is Shopify worth it rather than another shop system?

Shopify is worth it when you want to go live quickly, are planning further countries and want product data to come from a PIM or ERP without running and updating your own shop software. Shopify fits less well when you need very specific configurators, deep B2B pricing logic or heavy changes to the checkout. We look at the product range, the ordering process and the interfaces beforehand and tell you whether a standard theme, a custom theme or a different system adds up better.

Can product data come from PIM and ERP automatically?

Yes. Prices, stock levels, variants, translations and technical attributes can be transferred into the shop automatically instead of being maintained in two places. For PUKY we built a dedicated application that maps Akeneo exports to the Shopify fields, so new products and changes reach the shop without manual work. Before the first import we settle the rules: which system takes the lead, how variants are formed and what happens when data is missing or contradictory.

Is a custom theme maintainable despite Shopify updates?

Yes, as long as the changes stay cleanly separated from the core. We use a current theme as the basis, build our own sections and templates and avoid the kind of changes that turn every Shopify update into a risk. Home page, category page and product detail page therefore follow your corporate design, while checkout, apps and Shopify features stay compatible. An update is then a job of a few hours and not the reason for a new front end.

Do you support the launch and further markets as well?

Yes. After going live the work continues on conversion, data quality, loading time and range maintenance, and that usually creates more impact than the project before it. We set up languages, currencies and tax and shipping logic so that another market remains a configuration: at PUKY, new national subsidiaries have gone live in a few steps ever since.
