Webdesign & Development

A website that does not slow search engines down

We build websites so the technology is not an obstacle: fast loading times, a clean structure, indexable content and relaunches that do not cost rankings.

What this is about

Content can be as good as it likes: if pages load slowly, if content only appears through JavaScript or if important pages cannot be reached at all, none of it registers with Google. Technical SEO is the foundation that makes editorial work effective in the first place.

The technology decides what gets through

A page Google cannot load or cannot find does not exist for search, no matter how good the text is.

Cheaper during the build than afterwards

Repairing structure, URLs and loading times after the fact costs many times more. That is why it belongs in development.

A relaunch is the biggest risk

Most drops in visibility are not caused by weak content but by forgotten redirects.

What Google cannot load, Google cannot rate.

Situations that typically bring clients to us

What we actually do

Technical SEO audit

We check indexing, loading time, structure and sources of error and sort the findings by impact and effort.

Loading time and Core Web Vitals

Setting up images, fonts, scripts and caching so the site is fast even on a mid-range phone.

Indexability

Server-side rendering, clean sitemaps and control over which pages belong in the index and which do not.

URL and page structure

Readable URLs, unambiguous canonicalisation and a hierarchy that matches the structure of the content.

Structured data

Markup for products, services, events and FAQs, so search engines classify the content correctly.

Relaunch support

A complete redirect map from old to new, checked before the switch and monitored in the weeks that follow.

How we work

  • 01

    Measure

The current state from Search Console, a crawl and loading time measurements, before anything is changed.

  • 02

    Prioritise

We separate the findings that genuinely cost visibility from those that only light up red in audit tools.

  • 03

    Implement

The changes go straight into the templates and the code, not into a list of recommendations.

  • 04

    Measure again

After the rollout we check whether indexing and loading times have actually improved.

Technical SEO is development work, not copywriting. Send us your URL and we will look at where you stand.

Frequently asked questions

What Google cannot load or classify, Google cannot rate. That is why the technology goes into the website with us, not into an addendum.

Is technical SEO part of building the website?

Yes. Loading time, indexability, URL structure, canonicalisation and structured data belong in development with us, not in a project that follows it. It is also the cheaper order: repairing structure and URLs after the fact costs many times more, because redirects, internal links and templates have to be touched all over again. What Google cannot load or cannot find simply does not exist for search.

Is an SEO plugin enough?

A plugin helps with titles, meta descriptions and sitemaps, but no more than that. It is no substitute for site architecture, internal linking or content that actually answers a question. It does not solve the most common technical problems either: slow loading on mobile, content that only appears through JavaScript, filter pages in unlimited numbers or the same content under several URLs.

Do you use Schema.org?

Yes. We mark up what is relevant for your site: organisation and location, services, products, projects, events, job postings and FAQs. Structured data makes sure search engines classify content correctly and improves the chances of rich results. It is also becoming more important for AI systems, which assemble answers from clearly marked-up sources.

Does SEO work together with the editorial team?

Yes, otherwise the technology has no effect. We set up templates, heading logic, snippets and page structure so the editorial team can fill them day to day, and we align them with real search queries. For Deutsches Handwerksblatt we integrated SEO suggestions directly into the publisher's own CMS, so titles and descriptions are written where the work happens anyway.

Lost visibility after the relaunch?

Send us your URL. We will tell you whether it is down to the technology or the content.
